Farm to Institution New England and CSA Resources

Two of the most effective ways for local farms to grow their customer base: getting products into workplaces and institutions, and running a strong CSA program. Here's what you need to know.

 Getting Your Products Into Workplaces

Workplaces, hospitals, schools, and senior facilities are all potential buyers of locally grown food. Getting your products into these institutions means reliable, recurring sales and a wider customer base.
Food Connects leads farm to institution programming for our region, connecting local farms with schools, hospitals, workplaces, and other institutions looking to source locally. The Monadnock Grown Coalition works alongside Food Connects to facilitate these connections and strengthen our regional food system.
The Monadnock Grown Coalition brings farmers, institutions, and community partners together to tackle the barriers that keep local food out of larger retail spaces. In Winter 2027, we'll convene food managers from Hannaford, Shaw's, and Market Basket alongside local farmers and Food Connects to work on getting more local products into their aisles.
