What Is SNAP?

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides monthly funds on an EBT card to help you buy food. If you are not sure whether you qualify, do not assume you won’t. More people are eligible than ever before. SNAP benefits also include:

Ways to Stretch Your SNAP Benefits

Granite State Market Match

Spend your SNAP benefits at a participating farmers market and your dollars go further. The Granite State Market Match program doubles the value of your SNAP benefits, so every dollar you spend on local produce becomes two. Double Up Food Bucks

Get 50% off fruits and vegetables at the Monadnock Food Co-op and Sullivan Country Store when you pay with your SNAP/EBT card. No sign-up required.

Monadnock Farm Share

Use your SNAP/EBT dollars to get a CSA vegetable share from a local farm at little to no cost. Eight farms in the Monadnock region participate in this program through a partnership with the Cheshire County Conservation District.

Healthy Food for All

If you qualify for SNAP/EBT, WIC, Unemployment, or SSI, you get 10% off every purchase at the Monadnock Food Co-op. You do not need to be a member. Pick up an application at the service desk or ask your cashier.
